Title: Bacteriological monitoring of freshwater rivers in the Thames Region 1995
Author: Janet Moore
Author: Williams Yeomans
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The aim of the 1995 bacteriological survey was to continue the region-wide initiative of previous years to assess the levels of faecal bacteria present in the river catchment watercourses. The data obtained is used mainly in connection with the Catchment Management Plans to give an assessment of the bacteriological status of the watercourse in each catchment. This data also highlights "hot spots" which can be identified and followed up by Pollution Officers. This report presents the data from samples collected during 1995 and summarises the results obtained.
