Abstract:
There were 27 abstraction wells available for the support of river flows in the Little Ouse and Thet basin. A full investigation and precise formulation of a set of control rules could become the subject of a long and complex study. In practice, in 1989, believed to be the only year in which the wells have been used to alleviate the efects of low flows, quite simple rules were applied with apparent success.
