South and West Somerset catchment

Small (203km2) catchment in the centre of the South West River Basin District. The area covered includes the town of Wellington and several villages such as Wiveliscombe, Milverton and Norton Fitzwarren. It is a rural area, with permanent grazing pasture and woodland at the top of the catchment. Elsewhere the land is more intensively used, with grasslands, maize and potato crops and sheep and cattle grazing. (CCM)
