Title: Coastal wildlife survey
Author: National Rivers Authority Anglian Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This brief National Rivers Authority leaflet describes the Coastal Wildlife survey in the Anglian Region. In 1989 the NRA began a study of the whole Anglian coastline funded by the Flood Defence section, known as the Coastal Wildlife Survey (CWS). The survey provided detailed ecological information about Anglian Regions coastal habitats. The information collected from the survey is used to determine areas of high ecological importance, for their protection and possible enhancement in the course of flood defence work. In addition the data can be used to plan other NRA works which are sympathetic towards nature conservation, such as grazing or habitat creation schemes. This document provides information about types of Coastal Survey; Coastal Flood Defence Survey; Winter Wildfowl and Wader Suvey; how is the Coastal Wildlife Survey Being used?.
