This is the protocol on managing waste, one of the specialist protocols that form part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Environment Agency (Agency). This protocol is an agreement between the LGA and the Agency in recognition of the Agency's role in providing information to local authorities and the shared role of the Agency and local authorities in promoting sustainable waste management practices. This protocol comprises the following sections: Roles and Responsibilities; Information Needs; Co operation; Consultation; Implementation and Review.
