Abstract:
This report is one of the Environment Agency Good Practice Notes. It is focused on the wise of resources. Societys demands on the earths supply of resources, such as water, energy and minerals, are increasing: more houses are being built, the population is expanding and standards of living are rising. However, inefficient use of these resources also puts pressure on the environment, leading to problems of waste disposal, pollution and global warming to name but a few.
