Title: Managing water abstraction : towards a shared strategy : consultation response April 2000
Author: Environment Agency - Water Resources
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
The purpose of this document is to consult interested individuals, groups and organisations on the process of developing Catchment Abstraction Management Strategies (CAMS), their scope and content, and on relevant policies and issues closely allied to them. When the EA comes to start the CAMS process locally it proposes to issue two national documents: The "CAMS Framework", which it will provide information on the structure and content of a CAMS, and it will be produced for each catchment; as well as a "national supporting document", that it will contain the national policies and information relevant to the process. This document will prevent duplication of information and will provide supporting information relevant to all CAMS.
