This report analyses the state of the environment of the South East of England in 2001. This report sets out information on the current state of the environment of the South East of England, and the issues affecting it, for which the Environment Agency has a key role and responsibility. We see this report as making an important contribution to the sustainable development agenda in the South East. This report contains sections on: improving Air Quality; protecting and Enhancing Water Quality; mantaining and Enhancing Biodiversity; managing water resources; managing waste; risk of flooding; emerging issues and future monitoring.
