Abstract:
The Section 105 - C30/92 Surveys reported here covers one reach within the Northumbria Area, namely the River Tyne right bank from Tyne Bridge (NGR NZ253638) downstream to the mouth of the river at South Shields (NGR NZ365683). The reach is classified as main river and has a length of 15.27 Km. This report describes the work carried out for the Flood Plain Mapping and Catchment Drainage Studies. It provides the details required by the Agencys Survey Brief. It should be read in conjunction with the Report on Survey of Hooding Problems Volume 1, March 1997.
