Title: Environmental snapshot for the Anglian region 2002
Author: Environment Agency Anglian Region
Document Type: Monograph
Abstract:
This Environment Agency booklet provides an overview of the EA work in the Anglian region. In Spring 2001 the Environment Agency set out its environmental vision. In this vision, people enjoy a rich, healthy and diverse environment, now and in the future. Air, land and water are cleaner. Wildlife flourishes. Resources are used more wisely. Everyone enjoys a better quality of life. To achieve a better quality of life it is necessary to balance a number of environmental, social and economic goals, each being dependent on the other. Recreational activities are very important to our quality of life. The diversity of the region enables us to offer many facilities to pursue water sporting activities, including angling, boating and canoeing. This document contains sections on: wildlife, restoration and protection, flood risk, air quality, protected areas, climate change, business and natural resources.
