Abstract:
This report is concerned with the second year of research and production of grayling (Thymallus thymallus) by staff of the Fish Production Unit, based at the Regional Fisheries Laboratoryf Brampton. These studies, in collaboration with the Yorkshire Region NRA unit, follow on from work performed in the pre-spawning season of 1988. As a preface to this report, a brief summary of the aims, approaches, results and conclusions from the 1988 report are presented. (This earlier work has been reported in detail by Brighty and
Jordan (1988)).
