Abstract:
Catchment management planning is the process by which the NRA develops catchment management plans through public consultation. The process and the plans produced also have a key role in the setting of statutory Water Quality Objectives, and their contents feed in to the statutory town and country planning and development control processes of local authorities, in which we are a statutory consultee. This document, which sets out the NRA past, current and future programme of catchment management plans, is therefore very timely as preparations for the Environment Agency continue.
