Abstract:
This document analyses de action plan of South Cumbria LEAP. This document represents the next stage after the Consultation Report. It will have regard to the comments received during the consultation process. Once produced, the Action Plan will form a basis for future actions within the area for the next five years and will be a public document. It will detail the nature of actions required, the cost, timescale and responsible organisations. The Agency will be seeking commitment to planned actions by others wherever possible. The plan area covers approximately 1,426km2 and has a population of around 183,000 (1994). The population is concentrated in the southern coastal areas, the Furness peninsular and around Kendal and Windermere. The North Western part of the area is very sparsely populated.
